Admissions and entry requirements

Undergraduate entry normally follows completion of a recognised higher secondary qualification; postgraduate entry follows a recognised bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Specific grade thresholds are set by the institution and, in some fields, by a professional council.

Qualifications gained outside Nepal are commonly checked for equivalence before admission is confirmed. Start this early: it usually requires certified copies of transcripts and certificates, and sometimes translation.

Some fields — particularly medicine, engineering and certain management programmes — use entrance examinations. Where a programme requires one, it will be stated on the course page once the institution has confirmed it to us.

We do not publish application deadlines, fee amounts or pass marks that we have not received in writing from the institution. Where a course page shows that a field is unpublished, it means exactly that.
